Accommodation for the elderly and infirm of Mersea Island
The Trust was formed in 1961, to provide warden supported accommodation for the elderly and infirm of Mersea Island.
The Trust is a registered charity and the Trustees and members of the committee are all unpaid volunteers.
Mersea Island Trust has two properties in West Mersea, Akhurst Court in Melrose Road and Mersea Court in High Street North. They both provide individual units of warden supported sheltered accommodation for both single people and couples.
The Courts are situated in West Mersea and are within walking distance of the centre of the town. |
